Ipswich Town’s Women’s first team have sealed the Club’s place in the First Round Proper of this season’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup, following a 3-1 away win against local rivals Norwich City on Sunday (01/11/2020).

In what turned out to be the Tractor Girls first team’s final outing prior to the second national lockdown, Joe Sheehan’s troops extended their winning run against the Canaries to four consecutive matches thanks to first half goals from Eloise King, Sophie Peskett and Paige Peake.

Having seen off Peterborough Northern Star and now Norwich City in the qualifying rounds, Town have set up an away tie against Harlow Town in the First Round Proper. Sunday’s derby victory wasn’t the only Tractor Girls triumph this week, as Wednesday (04/11/2020) saw Town’s Academy (Under 21s) side begin the new WSL Academy League campaign with a convincing victory. Ipswich’s youngsters emerged as 6-0 winners against Bristol City at Playford Road. ITFC’s goal scorers on the day were Biggs, Bryant, Jackson, O’Brien, Peskett and Sutherland.
