Ipswich Town’s Women’s First Team picked up where they left off last month, returning from the second national lockdown with a commanding 9-2 Cup victory at Harlow Town.

The Tractor Girls, whose last outing was the win at Norwich in the previous round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup on Sunday 1st November, travelled across the border into Essex to take on Harlow Town on Sunday (13th December) after an enforced six-week break and wasted no time in getting back to winning ways.

Strikes from Georgia Allen (3), Eloise King (2), Natasha Thomas, Abbie Lafayette and Sophie Peskett put Town’s progress beyond doubt by half-time, at which point the scoreline was 8-2 to the visitors. After the break there was only one addition to the scoreline, with Thomas completing her brace.

The full-time score of 9-2 sent Ipswich into the Second Round Proper, where they will face Billericay Town away on Sunday 3rd January. To read more about last Sunday’s match:
