All of us at the Ipswich Town FC Academy would like to wish a very happy new year to our Academy Association sponsors, partners, friends and to all ITFC supporters! With a challenging 2020 behind us, we hope that the new year will be a happy, healthy, peaceful and successful one for everybody.

As we head into a new calendar year, however, there is no hiding the fact that the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact upon everyone’s daily lives. Football is no exception. The country has now entered into a third national lockdown and, with that, the schedules of the ITFC Academy teams and the ITFC Women’s programme have been affected. The majority of fixtures, for male and female teams, have either been suspended or postponed until further notice.

This weekend’s only exception at Academy level is the Men’s Under 23s’ home friendly against Crystal Palace, as Kieron Dyer’s young Blues host the Eagles behind closed doors at Playford Road tomorrow (Saturday 9th January, 1pm kick-off). Updates from the game will be posted by the Club’s main Twitter account @IpswichTown, while the Club’s website will publish a match report after the game. Later that same evening Town’s men’s First Team host Swindon Town in skybet League One, live on Sky Sports (kick-off 5.30pm). This will be the first match for Paul Lambert’s side in 25 days, since beating Burton Albion 2-1 at Portman Road on Tuesday 15th December.

The situation is ever-evolving and, as such, we will update this website as soon as further information is known regarding ITFC Academy and Women’s Team fixtures and schedules. In the meantime, should you have any questions or sponsorship enquiries, please contact us on 01473 400510 or via

Thank you for your support and all the best for 2021.
