Town’s Under 18s beat Charlton Athletic 3-0 on Saturday (23rd January) and, in doing so, maintained their place at the top of the table.

Ipswich Town Under 18s, sponsored by Britton Group and managed by Adem Atay and Jason Dozzell, triumphed over the Addicks at Playford Road thanks to goals from Harley Curtis, Ola Bello and Alfie Cutbush.

The result keeps Town ahead of Millwall who also won this week, 3-1 at home to third-placed Watford. The young Blues have played 11 games at the time of writing, meaning they have at least one game in hand on their three closest rivals.
Update, Wednesday 10th February: Please note that our Under 18s fixture, away to Queen’s Park Rangers (postponed from Saturday 30th January due to unplayable pitches and the forecast of more rain, then rescheduled for Tuesday 9th February at 1.00pm) has once again been postponed due to unsafe travelling conditions. The new fixture date has been confirmed as Tuesday 2nd March with a 1.00pm kick-off time. Meanwhile Town’s upcoming Under 18s game against Swansea City (technically a home fixture, but due to be played at St George’s Park), originally scheduled for Saturday 6th February, has been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course.
